For many of us, Thanksgiving Day is filled with family and the aroma of delicious food filling our homes. But for many Houston residents, this Thanksgiving will be just another day that they may spend lonely and in some instances, hungry. 

This year, The Wade Smith Foundation will host its Inaugural Gobble Game on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Studio Movie Grill to offer some aid in that area. In an effort to promote community outreach and share in the Houston Texans’ first Thanksgiving Day Football Game, this ultimate Thanksgiving Day Game Watch Party, will be complete with traditional turkey feast and the Houston Texans vs. Detroit Lions football game on the movie screens.

Time:  11:30am kick-off (Doors open at 10:30)
Location:  Studio Movie Grill – 822 Town & Country Blvd., Houston, TX 77024

Cost:  Free Admission with ticket
# Served:  up to 1239 people (actual number will depend on
sponsorship and donations acquired)

Our goal is to host over 1200 Texans fans from ALL walks of life to enjoy an amazing afternoon of football together, as the next best thing to attending the game in person.

Throughout the Gobble Game, fans and families will watch their Texans on 9 movie screens throughout the theatre, while enjoying a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner spread and entertainment during commercial breaks.

Our goal is to serve the Greater Houston community by offering an amazing fan experience to those who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the Texans football game in the company of family. Targeted groups and means of ticket distribution include but are not limited to…

–Youth Outreach Programs
–Women’s & Children’s Shelters
–Military Veterans
–Populations served by local community organizations
–Radio Contest Giveaways

The number of families and individuals that will be benefited will be assessed based on the amount of community and corporate support that we receive.

The Wade Smith Foundation hopes that you will choose to be apart of offering an amazing Thanksgiving Game Day experience for those who would otherwise not enjoy an experience to cheer on the Texans and have a hot, traditional Thanksgiving meal in this way.

This event will be the first of many Thanksgiving Day game traditions for the Foundation and the Houston Texans.
