The Wade Smith Foundation is a PROUD supporter of the Lake Highlands YMCA Safety Around Water initiative, which helps to address a critical safety issue among African American and Hispanic children by providing swimming lessons at low-income apartment communities in the Dallas area.
The WSF has helped 2,300 children participate in the program over the past 5 years, and it wouldn’t be possible without donations from our amazing supporters! Safety Around Water is specifically designed to teach children skills that can save their lives, while providing them an opportunity to feel more confident around water!

Over 100 children gathered at Moody Park for the 2nd Annual Houston Smitty’s Day at the Park. Presented by the Wade Smith Foundation in partnership with Houston Parks Board, Houston Parks and Recreation Department and Telemundo, the annual event collected approximately 3,000 books for participating campers and Books Between Kids.
The 7th Annual Wade Smith Foundation Charity Weekend is returning May 12, 2018! Each year, our founder, Wade Smith, celebrates his birthday by giving back to the Lake Highlands community through education, fun, football and philanthropy. What started out as the Lake Highlands Legends Charity Weekend has since become known as Wade’s Weekend and this weekend, we will celebrate 7 awesome years! Click below to view details:
